Decorigami – Hidden Sleeping Space

We have found some great solutions to a common problem for people who are short on space, need room for extra holiday guests, or maybe you are in a studio apartment and need one space to double as your office and your bedroom.  If any of that sounds like you then look no further.  We have found some incredible options to make the best use of the space you do have all while still accommodating some overnight guests.

9 by Novogratz Vintage Linen Mix Futon, Grey – This is the most simple solution we are going to feature today, but we had to include it. We love the modern style of this and the fact that you would never ever guess it was a futon.  The back does fold down to turn into a bed.  This is a great option to for your college apartment.  We just had to include something that is stylish, well designed, and affordable on this list!  Take a look at the rest of the 9 by Novogratz collection as well.  It is filled with great design and fun colors.  This really is an amazing collection.  I would have never guessed it was from Walmart.

The rest of the options we found are a bit more involved than the first.  We found these from a company called Bonbon, Compact Living Solutions.  They have entire wall systems in single beds and bunk beds as well as sofa bed options if you do not want to go all out with the wall system.  We do love the wall systems though.  They make the best use of a small space all while comfortably accommodating your guests.  Here are a few of our favorites.

Doc Sofa Bunk Bed – This sofa will convert into a bunk bed with one simple movement. It becomes two beds with a wooden slatted base.  This would be another option similar to the first we presented, but you can now accommodate 2 guests in the same space.  This would be the perfect addition to an apartment.

Cabrio In pull down desk bed – We love this option for its clean lines, sleek design, and fun colors. This would be a great option for a home office.  It can even be a great addition to a child’s room to give kids much needed desk space for homework and other activities.  There are many configurations available for shelving and cabinet options.  When the bed is needed it is easily converted with one simple movement which would make it feasible to use on a daily basis if used in a child’s room.

Lollidesk Study bed/desk bed – This would be a great addition to your home office space. The bed folds down above the desk space when needed.  It is higher off the ground which gives you that top bunk feeling of bunk beds without the bottom bunk.  It could also be a great solution for an older child’s room.  If you do not need the desk, the Lollibook single wall bed with shelves is similar just with additional shelving in place of the desk.

Poppi Theatre wall bed unit – This is the perfect solution to hide that extra bed in plain sight. This unit has a sliding TV panel.  Just slide the TV over the shelving area and fold the bed down when needed.  The best part is that you can have the bed down and still see the TV.  This is a great addition to the living room area.  It will allow you to have the bed for an overnight guest even if you do not have a separate guest room or office space.
