Design Finds – Temporary Wallpaper

Temporary Wallpaper is the perfect solution if you rent your home.  It adds a pop of style to your space, but can come down without a trace when it is time to move.  It is also the perfect solution to quickly update your space whether, you rent or own, before the holidays.  Not only can you use it to create a focal point on an entire wall, but you can use it to accent a wall, line the backs of shelves and bookcases, or even use it on trays and other decorative accessories.  The options are endless and the choices out there are getting better and better every day.  Here are some of our favorites.

Chasing Paper – We love all the options available with this company.  They have modern, colorful, and fun designs and the best part is the wallpaper will stick to nearly any surface.  The flatter the surface is the better time you will have installing it though.  You can get 9” x 12” samples to test drive the material which is actual a peel and stick fabric with the texture of a traditional wallpaper.

Timothy Sue – This company was started by Colette Clark, an artist and designer.  The patterns started as doodles, watercolors, and drawings and then get developed into patterns for the papers.  The wallpapers are printed on polyester fabric material with removable and repositionable adhesive backings.  It can be installed on almost any flat surface.  Although they are technically temporary, they have done testing that shows the papers will last for several years indoors and out.

Swag Paper – This company has a great range of options that are sure to suit anyone’s taste.  You can get as crazy as you want with it or go for something more subtle.  There is a good mix of traditional and contemporary options as well.  Swag paper is a premium quality polyester woven removable “peel and stick” wallcovering.  It is meant to be installed by those who love to do it themselves.  We took notice of this company and absolutely fell in love with their vintage maps collection!  They even have a collection of kids patterns that are anything but childish!
