Everyone knows that after cooking all that food and then eating it all and having way too much dessert, it will be time for a nap. Especially when it’s scientifically proven that the tryptophan in turkey just might make you a little sleepy. That is why we have chosen our favorite pieces of furniture to lounge around in and maybe catch a few Z’s after the big feast.
Our first pick is for those that want a comfortable place to nod off for a short nap while still keeping a stylish modern design to their place. Who doesn’t love a classic, iconic chair like the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman? We love the combination of stylish design and attention to detail in this chair. The curved plywood provides wonderful style lines that will fit in with any modern home. You really cannot go wrong with this chair and the best part is it is comfortable, making it a great place for a quick nap after dinner.
Next up we have a rocking chair for two, just in case you want to curl up with your significant other or a small child. We love the Sway chair form Markus Krauss Design & Interior. The first thing we love about Sway is the innovative shape that enables it to be used in multiple ways and with multiple people. It can even be stabilized from rocking. It also features a padded seat for comfort. This is a chair that is certainly going on my wish list!
Another favorite, and another addition to my wish list is the Hush Chair by Freyja Sewell. This piece is not just a chair, it can be transformed into many configurations from a comfortable chair to relax in, to a private pod so you can nap uninterrupted. The main body of the chair is cut from a single piece of industrial wool felt. If I had one I would definitely choose this to curl up in after dinner.
Lastly, we have something for the four legged friends you have that may want to take a nap as well. We just couldn’t resist when we came across the modern pet furniture from Pet Lounge Studios. I know my two labs will be curling up for a nap anytime I take one and they would love to lounge on the Bambu Hammock or the Bambu Daybed. We love these stylish options for modern pet furniture that will fit in with the style of your home.
