It’s Our 1 Year Anniversary!!

It's F.I.N.D.S. 1 Year Anniversary! Come Celebrate with Us!

It is hard to believe that an entire year has passed since our first post went out to everyone on the internet.  This month we are going to take the time to celebrate all that has been accomplished over this past year.  The blog was started not knowing who was going to read it (if anyone at all) or who would even like it, but people are reading it and people do like it!  We have all of our followers to thank for that.  We are grateful for each and every one of you who checks our page each Tuesday and Thursday to see what we are up to.  We have grown both our blog and the business in the last year and are expecting great things from this coming year as well. We hope to keep all of the wonderful readers we already have following what we do and hope to gain some new friends as well (so if you already love us, please tell your friends).

We started this entire journey a year ago with our first Monthly Mood Board post themed Seaside Retreat and followed up each post that month with fantastic finds that would be perfect in any beach house.  We have changed and improved what and how we post as we have progressed over this last year, but we always kept with a monthly theme.  We plan to keep that same format moving into our second year here at F.I.N.D.S. but we will be adding more DIY projects as we go this year and featuring some more of our own projects and projects in our own homes.  We plan to give you more of a glimpse of what we do personally at work and at home.  We plan to continue to help you all escape each month to a destination fit for relaxation or wonderful design inspiration.  Some of our most popular posts were the trip to San Francisco, California and the European features on Paris, France and Dublin Ireland.

In our effort to increase DIY projects we will be showing you some of our personal projects for the holidays; we have some plans in the works for fun decorations.  While you wait be sure to check out some of the popular holiday DIY’s from last year.  Our favorites were the DIY Ghostly Ladies for the Yard, the DIY Faux Ceramic Pumpkins (a Pottery Barn knockoff), and of course our tips for DIY Date – Valentine’s Picnic (you do not have to wait till Valentine’s Day for this one though).  Those were just a few of our favorites from this past year, but there are many others we featured you can still check out in the DIY category if you missed them.

Another hot ticket month for us was January when we helped you with your New Year’s Resolutions to get in shape with our free printable workout Log and helped you get organized with tons of tips all month long.  This gave us a deadline to organize the house as well so we could show you our systems.  We are proud to report that the areas we featured are still neat and organized and it makes life so much easier.

If we had to choose just one post from our entire first year as the favorite I would have to say it was Design Finds Q&A – Interview with CRATEive.  That was by far the most fun post to write and we got to meet Bartek Stanny who was wonderful to work with and it was great to learn about his process and how he started CRATEive.  We have seen great things from them since we featured the company on our site and wish them the best as they continue to find success.

Again, thank you to everyone who checked back on our blog, told your friends, commented, or liked any of our posts or pictures.  We truly appreciate each and every one of you and we hope you continue to follow what we are doing here as we move into our second year. This month the mood will be Our Favorite things so check back all month long to see all the things we love!  Feel free to comment on this post with any tips or suggestions you may have.  If there is something you want more of or just want featured let us know.  We would love the feedback.  What were some of your favorite posts of this past year?

If you love the blog, but want to see us more you can find us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.  Thank you for the support!
